President - Dr. Tiffany Ryan is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University, the Co-Founder of Yomassage, and Bodyworker at the Integrative Trauma Treatment Center. Dr. Ryan has numerous publications related to childhood & early adult trauma and is currently doing work to address trauma in Rwanda after the genocide. She is a fierce advocate for using integrative approaches such as bodywork, breath, and mindfulness to improve overall well-being.
Vice President - Athena Phillips is the Founder of Integrative Trauma Treatment Center in Portland, OR. She has an extensive career in behavioral health dating back to 1995 and has recently presented, developed, and trained at the Multicultural Trauma Training in Kigali, Rwanda and presented at the 2012 International Study for Trauma and Dissociation Conference.

Cultural Advisor - Françoise Uzamukunda was born and raised in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. She is currently working for Global Engagement Institute Rwanda as Program Manager. Her education background is English language literacy and Education. Through her work at GEI, she has been coordinating the Multicultural Trauma Treatment Training in Rwanda since its start in 2016. Her interest is languages, social justice, education and women empowerment.
Secretary - Libby DeFehr. While Libby worked on her graduate degree in teaching, she also managed the office at ITTC, providing support for staff and clients. While she continued to moved forward with her career as a teacher, her draw towards mental health and trauma remained. Supporting others in the midst of challenging periods is one of her core values and has fueled her choice to increase her level of commitment to ITTC and now ITTI.
Member at Large - Tom Payne is an attorney at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt PC. Tom represents clients in employment and other business disputes. Before becoming an attorney, Tom was a special-education teacher in Phoenix, Arizona as part of Teach for America. Tom’s teaching experience led to his interest in addressing trauma in underserved communities.
Board Member - Hadewych Verlinden Jones is a marketing professional with 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations & business development for service firms. She brings her experience in event planning, volunteer coordination & marketing to help raise awareness of ITTI and its mission to bring a mental health clinic to Kigali, Rwanda and other projects worldwide.
Board Member - Gregory Fleming, has lived in Portland for the last 12 years. He has bachelor degrees in Psychology and Sociology from University of Portland, and an MBA from Portland State University. He is currently employed at Daimler Trucks North America as a Market Research Analyst and excited to use this expertise to promote health services to people that are truly in need.
